Today was a 65 mile ride that started out in the light rain. It was freezing cold in the morning and then got really warm. The morning was through a somewhat wooded area and back and forth over creeks and small water falls. It went by very quickly and before lunch we had gone 40 miles. We thought it would be a piece of cake - then the afternoon came. The road turned back into chipseal and was rough and hilly. Somewhere around 4:00 we dragged into town whining miserably.
